The Beat Factor
The owners of the famous Cavern Club and the Official Tourist Board for Liverpool invited individuals with an interest in the story of The Beatles and Liverpool's broader music history, to audition to become a member of a new and exciting team of tourist guides.
'The Beat Factor' auditions took place on Tuesday 22nd April at the Cavern Club.
The auditions went well and attracted a wide and varied field! Each candidate was required to deliver, in no more than sixty seconds, a story, on the subject of 'Liverpool's Music History from 1957 onwards'.
Through the auditions 15 new trainees have joined the course, the trainees are from a range of ages and backgrounds and training towards becoming Beatle tourist guides. The new trainees will join 6 current guides who want to gain the Beatles Guide accreditation.
The panel were looking for good story tellers, who clearly have the ability to entertain, inform and grab the attention of an audience in the vital first 30 seconds; something a good tourist guide will be required to do on any tour.
We are looking forward to seeing the guides graduate and looking forward to a tour from them!
