This Christmas, get there by train with Merseyrail. There are 67 stations across Merseyside, connecting Southport, Ormskirk, Chester and Wirral to Liverpool, with four underground stations in the city centre to choose from. Services run frequently with trains at least every 15 minutes Monday – Saturday until 7pm and then every 30 minutes from 7pm onwards and on Sundays. 

Travel is more affordable than you think and there are great ticket options available. A family of up to five can enjoy unlimited festive fun with unlimited off-peak travel for just £11 with a Merseyrail Family Ticket. Travel anywhere on the network after 9.30am on weekdays and anytime on weekends and bank holidays.

A minimum of one adult must be travelling, children must be aged 5 – 15 and under 5’s travel for free! You can also enjoy unlimited off-peak travel anywhere on the network for £5.10 with a Day Saver or alternatively, return tickets are available from just £1.95.

The following services will operate on Friday 15th, Saturday 16th, Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd Dec nights (please note that as we treat the timetable day from 0200-0159 the services will actually be on the following morning i.e. Friday = Saturday morning, Saturday = Sunday morning).

 

These trains are drop-off services only and therefore passengers will only be able to board at Liverpool Central:

0130 Liverpool Central – Southport. This train will call at Waterloo, Formby and Southport, arriving at 0204
0130 Liverpool Central – Hooton. This train will call at Birkenhead Central, Bebington, Bromborough and Hooton, arriving 01.52
